La Aurora is celebrating a lot of firsts in their “Time Capsule†series of cigars, and the La Aurora 1962 was produced to celebrate the first time the brand ever used a Corojo wrapper, back in, you guessed it, 1962. Zesty and spicy by nature, Corojo tobacco leafs flourish in the sun and have been a popular choice for cigar wrappers since the 1930’s.
Grown in the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic, the Corojo wrapper in the La Aurora 1962 cigar is also found in the filler together with an aged Nicaraguan tobacco. The result is a medium-bodied cigar with notes of spice, earth, and toasted nuts
